Deccan Delight

Now is where the compass starts to spin
Heavy rocks on either side a snake living in between bird shriek, insect hum vine sheathed
Dry branch all covered with flowers soft moist hand of monsoon pulls warm air up
Onto vales of flowers and grasses where birds meet to exchange stories about the color of the clouds
at sunset.
